The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur was honored to host Prof. Omar Salim Ayed Al-Ayed from the Department of Chemical Engineering, Al-Balqa Applied University, Jordan, on 3rd November 2025. Prof. Al-Ayed is an esteemed alumnus of IIT Kanpur, having earned his B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering in 1984 and subsequently completing his Ph.D. in the same discipline in 1989.

During his visit, Prof. Al-Ayed engaged in a productive meeting with Prof. Bushra Ateeq, Dean of International Relations, to discuss prospective avenues for academic collaboration between IIT Kanpur and Al-Balqa Applied University. He also interacted with international students, offering enriching perspectives drawn from his academic journey and professional experiences.
