Institute Overview
Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, established in 1959, is a premier institution established by the Government of India. The Kanpur Indo-American Programme (KIAP) at IIT Kanpur was established in 1962 with the objective of fostering close collaboration with the global community and staying abreast of the dynamic realm of science and technology. Under this programme, the Institute received technical assistance through KIAP from a consortium of nine leading institutions of U.S.A during 1962-1972. The institutions are listed below:
