### IIT Kanpur introduces Hindi classes again to help international students integrate into campus life

The **Office of International Relations** at **IIT Kanpur** has introduced the second batch of **Hindi classes** for international students, starting on **23rd January 2025**. These classes aim to enhance students' campus experience and make everyday interactions with the locals smoother. Understanding the role of language in creating a sense of belonging and community, the program is designed to help students integrate seamlessly into the daily life and culture at IIT Kanpur.

The **initiative** was inaugurated by **Prof. Bushra Ateeq**, Dean of International Relations, and **Prof. Kantesh Balani** from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering and Coordinator of the Shivani Centre, IIT Kanpur. The event emphasized the importance of this initiative in creating a more inclusive and welcoming environment for international students. Some students from the previous batch also shared their experiences after taking part in Hindi classes last year.
