TacVibes: A Novel Watch for the Visually Impaired
The current offerings of watches for the visually impaired have limitations. TacVibes addresses the limitations, is a hybrid of a tactile and a vibration watch where the needles of a tactile watch are converted into vibrating spots around touch sensitive markers. It enables the visually impaired person to perform a routine yet important tasks such as keeping track of time with ease, affordability and dignity. The high-fidelity prototypes, at TRL 6/7, have been tested on visually impaired users.
