IIT Kanpur participates in the 3rd Japan-India Universities Forum

On October 19, 2024, Prof. Bushra Ateeq, Dean of International Relations at IIT Kanpur, and Prof. Deepu Philip, Professor in-charge of the Incubation and Innovation at the Startup Incubation and Innovation Center (SIIC)participated in the 3rd Japan-India Universities Forum organized at The Grand, New Delhi. The event, commemorating the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between India and Japan, aimed to strengthen collaboration in science, technology, and innovation. The opening remark was delivered by Dr. Hashimoto Kazuhito, President of Japan Science and Technology Agency, followed by Mr. Ariyoshi Takashi, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of Japan to India, and Prof. Abhay Karandikar, Secretary, Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India. The forum brought together several universities and institutions from both nations to discuss and promote further developing bilateral “brain circulation” between Japan and India, particularly aiming to expand collaboration between academic institutions in both countries.
