Exploring Collaboration Opportunities in Data Science and Public Health

On 16th January 2025, Prof. Bhramar Mukherjee from Yale University, Senior Associate Dean of Public Health Data Science and Data Equity, and Anna M.R. Lauder Professor of Biostatistics, Epidemiology (Chronic Diseases), and Statistics and Data Science, visited IIT Kanpur. She met with Prof. Bushra Ateeq, Dean of International Relations, to initiate an Internship program in Data Science and Biostatistics and explore further academic and research collaborations between Yale University and IIT Kanpur.

The meeting focused on opportunities for internships for IITK students in the Department of Statistics and Data Science, Yale University. They also discussed on joint initiatives to promote interdisciplinary research and educational collaborations in data science, biostatistics, and public health. This engagement highlights a significant step toward strengthening international academic ties and advancing knowledge exchange between the two institutions.
