**(Diverse Research in Inclusive Vehicle Environments)** \
Driving inclusive mobility across all modes of road transport.

The UK and global road networks are fast-evolving, complex systems which include pedestrians, cyclists, disabled vehicles, emergency vehicles, and public transport.

Each type of road user has specialised on-road requirements and are governed by ever-changing human behaviour and the limitations of public policies. This means that there is a timely need to develop new sensing technology, understand human behaviour and upgrade the road networks to be inclusive – leading to safer roads, a better road experience and reduced fuel consumption.

Autonomous vehicular technology offers a new transformative opportunity to redefine present-day mobility. It is crucial to study, understand and improve inclusivity to guarantee that all individuals – irrespective of their physical, cognitive, cultural and socio-economic status – can benefit from these advances.
