We have planned a series of activities to introduce you to Loughborough University London. Your induction week will take place from Monday 26 January. Please note that attendance at Induction Week is compulsory for all new students.
Below you will be able to find more information about the events taking place. Some of the events are Institute-specific, these sessions will introduce you to the field of study and cover basic concepts you will need throughout your studies.
During this week you will also get the opportunity to network with other students, meet our Professional Services team and learn more about our facilities.
Please note that timings are subject to change and will be updated in your induction timetable, which will be available before your arrival.

London Student Services and Student Experience Welcome Talk

Join one of our two meet and greet sessions to connect with the London Student Services and Student Experience teams. Find out what support is available during your studies and how to keep up with events and opportunities happening on campus. You do not need to attend both sessions—just pick the session that works best for you.

In this session you will learn about the support available for your mental health and wellbeing, including disability support and how to discuss reasonable adjustments. You’ll also find out how to stay informed about wellbeing events and resources across our campus. You do not need to attend both sessions—just pick the session that works best for you.

Find out how the Academic Learning and Language Support team can help you during your studies. From developing your study skills such as critical thinking to improving your English language skills and presentation techniques. You only need to attend one session, so pick the one that suits you best.
Future Space events
The Future Space team are here to help provide you with careers support and guidance. The team can help you audit your skills, set career goals and gain experience.

Loughborough Students' Union London Events
Loughborough Students’ Union (LSU) is run by students, for students and is here to support you throughout your student journey.
They run a selection of events throughout induction week, to give you the chance to meet fellow students and learn more about the campus and surrounding areas.

Join us at our Welcome Afternoon, where you’ll have the chance to meet some of our teams, local organisations and discover what our campus and community have to offer!
From meeting our student ambassadors, finding out more about the Wellbeing team, LU Arts and the Chaplaincy, chatting with organisations like West Ham United, Gym Box, and the Police, or even buying yourself a Loughborough London hoodie, our Welcome Afternoon has something for everyone to get you excited for the year ahead!
