Loughborough Lightning Wheelchair Basketball are the East Midlands number one female para-sport side competing in the British Wheelchair Basketball Women's Premier League.
Founded in 2022, Wheelchair Basketball are the latest addition to Loughborough Lightning's increasing portfolio of world class female sports teams.
Competing in the British Wheelchair Basketball Women's Premier League, Lightning are one of four sides who compete in the world's first ever female para-sport league. Boasting a wealth of Paralympians, internationals and rising talent, the 2024 squad are getting ready to defend their back-to-back historic titles, after they won the first ever WPL league and play offs going unbeaten throughout the season.
Famous for it's fun, exciting and family-friendly match day experience, Loughborough Sport would like to invite you to join us and witness Wheelchair Basketball live for the first time on campus this year!
