Research in the Department explores the fundamental processes involved in learning mathematics, and analyses pedagogical practice including teaching, learning and assessment.
In the 2021 Research Excellence Framework, our research activity was judged to be of an exceptionally high quality: 100% of research impact rated ‘world-leading’ or ‘internationally excellent’.
