The micro internship programme is an incredible opportunity for you to add valuable work experience to your CV, expand your professional network, and explore new career paths.
Micro internships are offered by external organisations, covering a wide range of projects and disciplines. They give you the chance to work on exciting projects in areas such as marketing strategy and implementation, UX/UI design, data analysis, SEO, web content creation, wireframing, and social media management. This programme provides you with hands-on experience and exposure to real-world industry practices, enhancing your skills and employability.
The time commitment for each micro internship will be no more than 6 hours per week, spanning up to 8 weeks. In return for your dedication and contribution, you will receive a £500 bursary upon successful completion of the internship.
You will be expected to submit a short weekly email update to track your progress, which will also contribute to your Personal Best London record.

The majority of micro internship activity will now take place in semester 1 (October-December) to allow students to participate fully in the wider offer of Collaborate in semester two. Some ad hoc micro internship activity may be available at other times of the year depending on levels of student interest and available external opportunities.
A great preparation in teamwork and engaging with businesses for October starters, and a great way to add to a CV before entering recruitment for January starters.
