The IAS aims to support both focused and wide-ranging research initiatives across the breadth of the University.

Research Summits

The IAS launched a new programme in the 2024-25 academic year, Research Summits. These are opportunities for academic colleagues from both Loughborough and London campuses to bring leading international scholars – academics, policy-makers, artists, activists and/or public intellectuals, for a week-long research forum setting an international agenda in thought leadership.

From 2017 to 2024, the IAS ran a programme of annual themes. This was retired at the end of the 2023-24 academic year, to move to a Research Summit format as detailed above, however all previous Themes are accessible below.

The IAS has the opportunity to run a wide variety of Spotlights, Roundtables & Festivals through it's programming.
