## Overview
As a rapidly growing and increasingly recognised specialism, there’s never been a more exciting time to study an MSc in Clinical Exercise Physiology. This course gives you knowledge of exercise physiology and its use in a clinical context. You'll also get extensive hands-on experience using gold-standard methodologies in exercise physiology. You'll gain the practical skills needed to perform a range of clinical physiological assessments.
Newcastle University is the first Russel Group University to develop an MSc in Clinical Exercise Physiology. As such, you’ll be taught by clinical and academic experts in the field with a wealth of experience.
Through your dissertation project, you'll work to answer research questions in areas including:
- exercise oncology
- exercise in diabetics
- exercise immunology
- cardiac and extreme environmental physiology

We suggest international students apply at least two months before the course starts. This is so that you have enough time to make the necessary arrangements.

As the course numbers are capped at 20, the selection process will be competitive. You may be interviewed as part of this process.
**Deposit**
**All International students**
If you are an international student or a student from the EU, EEA or Switzerland and you need a visa to study in the UK, you must pay a deposit or submit an official letter of sponsorship. The deposit is payable after you receive an offer to study with us. This deposit is non-refundable and will be deducted from your tuition fees when you register.
