Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) is one Germany’s leading research universities, systematically expands this position and continuously invests in modern research infrastructure. As Vice President Research at FAU, Prof. Dr. Schett is responsible for the University’s research strategy and promotes research, interdisciplinarity and cooperation, including research infrastructures, research financing, collaborative projects and international aspects. He ensures that researchers take on responsibility at an early stage, and are able to conduct research independently and actively pass on their knowledge. Programs for promoting excellence and collaboration between disciplines are coordinated, enabling FAU to increase its strength in research.
