Analyzing the behavior of emperor penguins

Johannes Bartl is a doctoral candidate of physics at FAU.  He is part of a team of researchers examining emperor penguins and their behavior with high-resolution cameras. Due to climate change their habitat is endangered: If the ice on the South Pole continues to melt the way it currently is the penguins will soon only be able to survive in zoos.\ To show us what’s happening at the South Pole, Johannes sent a video:
