FAUexchange – Partner universities

Exchanges are offered at FAU’s partner universities as part of the regular call for applications in the winter semester of the relevant academic year with an application deadline in fall. FAU students can spend one to two semesters abroad at the partner universities listed below as part of the direct exchange program FAUexchange. As a rule, exchange students are exempt from tuition fees at the partner university abroad. Further information can be found on our page on application procedures.

Argentinia

Semester dates in Argentina: March to July (1st semester) and end of July/beginning of August to December (2nd semester).

Chile

Semester dates in Chile: March to July (1st semester) and end of July/beginning of August to December (2nd semester).

Exchanges at the School of Business, Economics and Society are organized directly by the International Relations Office in Nuremberg.

China

Semester dates in China: September to January (winter semester) and February to July (summer semester).

Japan

1. The University of Osaka

Students of Japanese Studies who would like to study at Osaka University should apply directly via the Chair of Japanese Studies.

Colombia

Semester dates in Columbia: January to July (1st semester) and early/mid July to December (2nd semester).

1. Universidad del Norte (Uninorte)

Exchanges at the School of Business, Economics and Society are organized directly by the International Relations Office in Nuremberg.

Mexico

Semester dates in Mexico: January to July (1st semester) and end of July/beginning of August to December (2nd semester).

1. Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (UANL)

Information on the tense situation regarding security as a result of organized crime can be found on the website of the Federal Foreign Office.

2. Universidad de Guanajuato (UGTO)

Exchanges at the School of Business, Economics and Society are organized directly by the International Relations Office in Nuremberg.

Exchanges at the Institute of Economics at the Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Theology are organized directly by the Institute itself.

4. Universidad Iberoamericana Ciudad de México (UIA)

Exchanges at the School of Business, Economics and Society are organized directly by the International Relations Office in Nuremberg.

5. Tecnológico de Monterrey (Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey), Campus Monterrey

South Korea

Semester dates in South Korea: September to December (winter semester) and March to June (summer semester).

The partner universities in South Korea offer courses in English. Not all universities expect students to have a knowledge of Korean.

Taiwan

Semester dates in Taiwan: September to January (winter semester) and February to June (summer semester).

Students from the School of Business, Economics and Society who would like to study at NTU or CCU should apply directly via the International Relations Office

USA

Semester dates in the USA: August to December (Fall Term) and January to May (Spring Term).

Due to admission restrictions at the US partner universities, students of medicine, dentistry and the School of Law cannot study in the USA.
