# Pre-incubation

Becoming self-employed or running your first marathon have one thing in common: a lack of preparation makes it much more difficult than necessary. FAU offers structured support for anyone who would like to take the plunge and turn innovative ideas into successful companies. We can provide guidance on the following questions: Which steps are required for starting a company? How can resources be used effectively? Which networks and points of contact are available? How can I keep track of progress?

Our startup consulting service accompanies students, researchers and employees at FAU from their initial idea to implementation. Events offering a mixture of inspiration, knowledge and practical advice are offered regularly, allowing participants to develop their ideas further and raise their visibility. As one of the top universities in the world for entrepreneurship and science-based spinoffs, FAU systematically encourages innovation. Programs, advice and networks create spaces where vision can become reality and the University can act as a motor for innovation for society and academia alike.
