The Executive Board of Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg consists of the President, four Vice Presidents and the Chancellor as well as the [Officer for equal opportunities for women in science and the arts (Women’s representative)](https://www.fau.eu/university/university-organization/executive-board/university-womens-representative-prof-dr-med-kerstin-ute-amann/) as an advisory member.

## University Representative appointed by the Executive Board

In accordance with Article 30(5) of the Bavarian Higher Education Innovation Act (BayHIG), the University Executive Board may appoint additional members of the university to exercise its powers in specific areas of responsibility.

The university management, in particular the president, vice presidents, and chancellor, are supported in their diverse tasks in terms of organization and content by the team at the Office of the Executive Board.
