# What should I do if I do not have access to a counselor?
Modified on Tue, 10 Jun, 2025 at 3:56 PM
If your school does not have any counseling staff, please ask an administrator or homeroom teacher to fill out the counselor portion of the application. Examples of an administrator include your principal, vice principal, or a director. If you ask a teacher, choose one who has known you throughout high school (if possible) and who has access to your transcript and school records. Whomever you choose, that person should submit the school report and the counselor recommendation.
Homeschool applicants should follow the advice provided [here](https://admissions.upenn.edu/how-to-apply/first-year-applicants/homeschool).
