# Is standardized testing required to be eligible for scholarships?
Modified on Wed, 6 Aug, 2025 at 3:23 PM
Testing is never used as a part of our financial aid process. In accordance with the Ivy League, Penn does not offer merit-based scholarships or financial aid. All of Penn’s financial aid is need-based, and Penn commits to meeting full demonstrated need for four years for all admitted students. More information is available [on our financial aid website](https://admissions.upenn.edu/affording-penn/financial-aid).
