Promoting sustainability is a collective effort across the University. Our students, staff, faculty, and alumni each contribute significantly to attaining our sustainability and climate goals. Through campus-wide initiatives and events, students have the opportunity to participate first-hand in sustainability efforts taking place throughout the Penn and Greater Philadelphia community.

Propose a sustainability project that advances the Climate and Sustainability Action Plan and secure up to 30,000 in funding to implement it!

The 5-minute Green Living Survey is a great introduction to sustainable living at Penn. Students can take the survey every year to assess their green living behavior, learn tips for a sustainable lifestyle at Penn, and enter into raffles for reusable prizes.

The ISAC Program helps course instructors at Penn introduce environmental sustainability into new and existing courses. The program provides full funding for summer research assistants to update or create new syllabi, lectures, assignments, texts, and/or tests that incorporate environmental themes.
