# How do I submit a portfolio as part of my application?

**Portfolios are not recommended or required** outside of students applying to the Digital Media and Design program or transfer applicants to Architecture. Most students who are admitted to Penn do not submit supplemental materials. **All of the information that we feel is crucial in making an admission decision is included within our required documents.**

Students submitting a portfolio for either of the two programs referenced above can do so via the Penn Applicant Portal. Guidelines for portfolio content can be found on our [supplementary materials](https://admissions.upenn.edu/how-to-apply/preparing-your-application/supplementary-materials) page.
