# How do I request a gap year?

Admitted students can request a gap year through their Penn Applicant Portal once they have formally accepted their place in the class. Admitted students are able to formally accept their place in the class through their Penn Applicant Portal. All gap year requests are reviewed and approved on a case-by-case basis by the Dean of Admissions.
