​Nobel Laureate Louis J. Ignarro delivered a mentoring talk, entitled "The Road to Stockholm: A Nobel Mission" on March 14, 2023 via WebEx. \

Prof. Ignarro’s mentoring talk was very inspiring on many levels and was full of lessons.

He took the audience through a very exciting journey of his discoveries that led to his Nobel prize. He strongly recommended not to be shy about asking for help from anybody. He stressed the importance of teamwork and collaboration across disciplines that led to his discoveries.

He advised the young researchers to take on opportunities and not to play safe in tackling research questions. He advised students to follow their dreams and not to be discouraged by anything or anybody.

His humbleness was very empowering and truly moving.

This mentoring talk was organized in partnership with the prestigious Angewandte Chemie.
