The committee aids in creating a community spirit among the members through organizing events and social functions. This committee was established to serve one of our three core principles: community building. The University for Seniors’ Social Committee:

Prepares the quarterly calendar of functions/events/off term trips.
Plans and coordinates approved functions/events/off term trips.
Ensures a balance in the variety of activities (social, cultural, community engagement etc…)
Handles all logistics pertaining to all committee activities
The UfS members sitting on the Social Committee take turns in acting as Trip Coordinator on the off-term trips.
Meets on quarterly basis to plan upcoming events and then as need arises to plan specific events.
