Throughout its history, the American University of Beirut has provided care and inspired hope – at our medical center, in classrooms and research laboratories, and through numerous outreach initiatives that go beyond our campus walls.

Our Medical Center has been at the heart of every emergency response in Lebanon. Our full focus is on saving lives and caring for the wounded with consummate skill and dedication - and without any consideration to the background, affiliation, or ability to pay of the individual receiving care. That is what we have always done, most recently during the war in fall 2024, and will continue to do.

During the current escalating war on Lebanon, we are once again playing a critical role as a safety net for our community: for the vulnerable, the injured, the displaced, and all those who need healthcare when it matters most - at the AUB Medical Center and at our sister hospital, the Keserwan Medical Center.\

Donations to the AUBMC Emergency Response will be used to support the care of patients at our medical center who need financial assistance (AUBMC Needy Patients Fund) and also for medical supplies and equipment urgently needed to attend to these patients (AUBMC Medical Equipment Fund).\
