Programme Offered

Grab a chance in travelling abroad for summer programme offered by partner universities around the globe.Student enrols in technical and extracurricular courses offered such Intensive Cultural Courses, Intensive Language, Intensive Technical and Computer Courses, other courses that might add value to your study. \ \ All participants completing the designated programme content will be awarded a certificate and transcript upon completion of the programme.

Programme Period

Minimum of 14 days and may be varies depending on programme offered by the host university. \

Programme Deadline

At least 3 month prior to the programme date (based on Host University deadline)\

Programme Eligibility

  1. Open for all full time undergraduate (not applicable for RAP) or postgraduate student in their Home University with minimum CGPA of 2.75 or equivalent

  2. Fulfil English requirements (for non-English speaking countries):

  3. Minimum IELTS score of 5.0 / CEFR B1 OR - a minimum TOEFL PBT (410– 413) / IBT (34) OR

  4. Minimum Cambridge English: Advance (CAE) (160) / CEFR B2 / CPE (180) OR
  5. Minimum of Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE) (180) / CEFR C1 OR
  6. Minimum Pearson Test of English (PTE) score 36 OR

  7. Minimum MUET (Malaysian University English Test) Band 3

  8. No financial outstanding, satisfactory financial ability for the whole duration of the programme

  9. Not undergoing SIIP during programme duration
  10. Excellent Co-Curricular and good disciplinary record
  11. Agree to be responsible for the total cost incurred
  12. Student may seek other sources of sponsors beyond YUTP & Zakat (for Muslim only)
  13. Nominated by UTP

Application Process

  1. Select potential university\ Student choose the selected country and potential university based on financial budget, you may refer here: bit.ly/SUP-OutboundList
  2. Select course\ Choose equivalent courses for credit transfer purposes. Consult your departments mobility coordinator
  3. Complete online application\ Complete your online application here: bit.ly/SUP-OutboundForm and Host University online form

  4. Submit required documents

  5. Resume / CV (latest in PDF format)

  6. Academic Transcript (latest in PDF format)
  7. Scanned Copy of Passport (Front page only, colour in PDF format)
  8. Scanned Copy of Travel Insurance Policy (In PDF format)
  9. Scanned Copy of Approval Learning Agreement (In PDF format)
  10. Scanned Copy of Letter of Indemnity and Undertaking (In PDF format)

  11. Scanned Copy of Health Information Form (In PDF format)

  12. Shortlisting Candidates\ Student may apply for YUTP fund and the amount is subject to YUTP approval

  13. Confirmation Candidates\ Results for candidates will be announced and names will be submitted to UTP Management and Host University. Student begins travel arrangement e.g visa, accommodation, return air-flight ticket and travel insurance.
  14. Programme Execution\ Student undergo outbound mobility programme
  15. Report\ Submit programme report, certificate and transcript (if any) to CSD upon completion\

Programme Fee

May varies and fee is to be made to the Host University\

Additional Information

  1. Visa\ Tourist visa is acceptable for any programme less than a month, (student visa is required if it is stated in the programme offered by the host university). Invitation letter from host university shall be provided to the applicant prior to the programme to ease the immigration process.\
  2. Insurance \

Travel insurance is required during the whole programme. Student is advisable to purchase local travel insurance.\ 3. Other expenses \

Meal, airfares, insurance, personal expenses and transportation charges (outside the programme duration) shall be borne by the participant. \
