How to Apply - Postgraduate Programmes

1Before You Apply

Please ensure you have scanned copies of the following documents ready (in PDF format) to upload during the application process:

1. Copy of Passport (main page).
2. Passport-size Photo – white background, JPEG/GIF format, front-facing.
3. Size: 45mm (height) × 35mm (width).
4. Complete & Final Academic Transcript and Degree Scroll
5. For Master's applicants: Provide Bachelor's degree transcript and scroll only.
6. For PhD applicants: Provide both Bachelor's and Master's degree transcripts and scrolls.
7. If the transcript & scroll is in another language, an official English translation is required.

Important Notes: Partial or incomplete documents, including completion letters, will not be accepted. 4. Research Proposal (for Research Mode applicants only). 5. English Language Proficiency Certificate (TOEFL/IELTS). - Kindly refer to the entry requirements for minimum scores. 6. Proof of Payment of Processing Fee (non-refundable): - USD 50.00 / RM 200 (International applicants)

Accepted payment methods: Internet Banking / Cash Deposit / EFT / Wise / Flywire / Telegraphic Transfer. 7. Sponsorship Letter (if applicable) or Financial Guarantee: - Sponsorship Award Letter, OR - Latest Bank Statement showing minimum RM 10,000 for three (3) consecutive months. 8. Any other relevant supporting documents for your application.

3Online Application

Please observe the following notes:

1. Login to the Online Application Form.
2. Please remember your email address and password used for the online application. These will be required for future logins, including checking your application status.
3. Verify that all information provided in the Online Application Form is accurate before submission.
4. Once you have completed all details and uploaded the required documents, go to the "Programme" tab and select the programme you wish to apply for.
5. Click the "Apply" button to submit your Online Application. Your application is not complete until you have clicked the "Apply" button. You will receive a confirmation notification message pertaining to the online submission.

​Postgraduate by Research

​Applications for Postgraduate by Research programmes are accepted throughout the year. Based on the timing of the application submission, the University will determine and issue an offer for enrolment in a suitable semester intake (January, May, or September).

Postgraduate by Coursework​​​​

Notes:

Applications will be processed only if the following conditions are met:

• Complete documentation is submitted.
• All documents are certified and verified by an appropriate authority (e.g., a School Principal, University Registrar, Government Official, or other person in an official position).

Note on Fees: All fees are accurate at the time of publication for the current intake year. Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) reserves the right to amend the fees at its discretion without prior notice.
