Zakat Management

There are four (4) types of Asnaf that has been identified in Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) who are eligible to apply and receive zakat:

One with insufficient means of livelihood to meet his/her basic needs

One who is in debt but needs assistance to meet his/her basic needs.

One who strives in the cause of Allah for the betterment of the community

One who is appointed to collect Zakat and the expenses incurred in the administration of Zakat

Zakat Management (ZM) has identified four (5) types of aid to be provided to UTP students:


- TAZU Full Foundation Sponsorship Programme
- TAZU Academic Grant
- TAZU Ghorimin Scheme
- Laptop Assistance
- Stipend Allowance under Tabung Kebajikan Zakat

Copy of Applicant's Identification Card
Copy of Applicant's Student Card
Proof of Student's Outstanding Bill
Copy of Divorce/Death Certificate (If applicable)
Copy of both Parent's Income Statement as listed below:
Salary Slip OR
Pensioner Statement for parents retired from government sector (https://apps.jpapencen.gov.my/penyatabayaran) OR
EA form for parents retired from private sector OR
Statutory Income Declaration Letter endorsed by either Village Head / Commissioner of Oath / Grade A Officer at your respective residence for self-employed or unemployed/housewife parents (Download Declaration Form)
