DR NOREEN IZZA ARSHAD Description AR-VILT is an Augmented Reality mobile application with digital module focusing on centrifugal gas pump created for technicians to learn about the machine remotely. The AR-VILT is an app that presents the view of the real machine (I.e. centrifugal pump) without having the equipment in front of you. It creates the element of immersive for training and development. Impact - Content accessible through smartphones/tablets anytime and anywhere. - AR and VR content to explain complex concepts - Personalised experiences - Customised modules - Immersive learning |
| | 06 VIRTUAL 360 WALK-THROUGH TOUR OF "THE TREASURE @ TAMAN HERBA, GOPENG" TS. DR SAVITA K. SUGATHAN Description The Development of Virtual 360 Walk-Through Tour of “The Treasure @ Taman Herba Gopeng” is creating a 360-degree virtual walk-through for Taman Herba. The walk-through will show the users what Taman Herba has to offer. As the compound is huge, there are a lot of things offered. With the use of the virtual tour, users can learn about the sites' histories, names, locations, plants, herbs, and more before actually seeing them in real life when they visit. It is an online brochure that contains the attractions of Taman Herba Gopeng. The end product will be available on Taman Herba's official website. Impact - Allow the potential visitors/website users to get to know Taman Herba Gopeng better. - 360-degree walk-through tours motivate end-users intention to take a real walk at Taman Herba. |

In essence, studying the ecology of a place could increase our understanding towards biodiversity, its association to the environment and the ecosystem. Hence the main aim of this project is to conduct an ecological study and development of digital contents for The Treasure @ Taman Herba Gopeng. This study specifically focuses on identifying aquatic insects and gastropods and accessing the distribution and relationships of aquatic insects in relation to the environmental parameter in The Treasure @ Taman Herba Gopeng. The outcome of this project could help Taman Herba to uncover the types of plants, aquatic insects and gastropods that inhabit its ecosystem, determine the quality of the environment, its relationship and its contribution to the environment as well as several digital contents for further development of VR/AR in future. Impact - To uncover the types of plants, aquatic insects and gastropods that inhabit its ecosystem - To determine the quality of the environment, its relationship and its contribution to the environment |
| | 08 TEACHING ERGONOMICS TO OUTDOOR WORKERS IN OIL, GAS AND ENERGY SECTORS USING VIRTUAL REALITY DR MAZEYANTI MOHD ARIFFIN Description VR: The application of VR could bring a high impact to the domain due to the nature of the outdoor workers who are always on the move, non-routine, harsh environments. In order to increase the involvement of workers in ergonomics trainings as well as ensuring interactions, this research aims to identify and assess the ergonomics issues at outdoor workplace as well as to study the usage of Virtual Reality (VR) in conveying the ergonomics learning contents to the outdoor workers for oil, gas and energy sectors. VR are widely used in many industries due to its distinct feature which is able to manipulate the audience's perception of physical surroundings in a safe manner. Hence, VR is a popular tool in construction, advertisement, education, engineering, robotics, entertainment, medical and also occupational safety. Additionally, the VR application could create interactive scenarios which simulate real-life situations. For example, able to simulate the correct body posture and also the way heavy machine responds. Impact - Teaching Ergonomics to Outdoor Workers in Oil, Gas and Energy Sectors Using Virtual Reality |
