**Technology Transfer and Intellectual Property Management (TTIPM)** operates under **Technology Commercialisation (TC)** within the **Innovation & Ventures (IV) Division** of **Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS**. We support lecturers and researchers in bringing their innovations beyond the lab by helping them protect, develop, and commercialise their technologies.\

TTIPM acts as a central point for **technology exploration, licensing, and incubation**, connecting research outputs with industry, partners, and commercial opportunities. Through this role, we work closely with inventors to unlock the full potential of their research and translate ideas into real-world impact.​\

WHAT WE DO\

​HOW WE DO

> In general, we are flexible in developing a **practical go-to-market strategy** for each invention. The approach is tailored based on the nature of the technology, market readiness, and the inventor’s goals.
>
> At present, there are **two (2) main pathways** to monetise our intellectual property and technologies:
>
> 1. **Existing businesses**
>
>    Commercialisation through our corporate partners or via direct exploitation by the university or inventors, where appropriate.
> 2. **Start-ups**
>
>    Commercialisation through the ​**Universiti Teknology PETRONAS Innovation Accelerator (UToPIA)****Programme**, which supports the creation and growth of start-ups based on university-developed technologies.\

Based on these approaches, we offer a **wide range of home-grown technologies** that you can **license, further develop, or commercialise** with industry partners or through start-ups.
