Research grant management refer to the systematic and organised process of overseeing, coordinating, and optimising the entire lifecycle of research projects and grant initiatives that align with the research focus area of Research Institutes in Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS. This comprehensive discipline involves the strategic planning, administration, and coordination of research activities, as well as the effective management of grant funding starting from application until project completion.

This unit specifically focuses on the administration of funding received through grants. This includes the entire grant lifecycle, from the development and submission of grant proposals to budgeting, financial tracking, and reporting by leveraging the UResearch system. The research grant management ensures that funds are utilized in accordance with grant guidelines, regulatory standards, and the goals outlined in the proposal. It also involves ongoing communication with funding agencies and stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and outcomes.\
GRANT MANAGEMENT ECOSYSTEM

TECHNOLOGY READINESS LEVEL (TRL)
TRL assesses the maturity level of technology components within a system, providing project personnel with insights into the required development stage before implementation. This tier serves as a valuable tool for gauging project progress, fostering consistent and uniform discussions about technical maturity across diverse technologies.
