学院坚持瞄准国家重大战略需求和世界科技前沿，围绕网络攻防、高安全通信、高可信软件、公有链安全、认知电磁对抗、社会治理等重点领域开展了一批基础性、前瞻性、创新性、战略性的科学研究和关键技术攻关。相关方向承担了国家重点研发计划项目、国家自然科学基金重点项目、民用航天项目等一批重要科研任务，取得了一大批高水平技术和理论研究成果。近3年，获国家技术发明二等奖1项、省部级技术发明一等奖2项。为陆海空天智联网国家战略构想论证、“科技支撑平安中国”和“智慧社会科技创新发展”未来20年战略研究等国家重大战略研究、重大决策提供了支撑。
