## Processing Time

**Checklist update processing times vary with application volume. Near deadlines, submitted materials may take up to two weeks to appear as “received” in your applicant portal. Portfolios and design supplements are due November 1 for Early Decision and January 2 for Regular Decision.** **The deadline for supplemental materials is November 14 for Early Decision and January 16 for Regular Decision****.**

### For first-year applicants, Cornell University requires submission of standardized test scores (SAT or ACT).

#### **Self-Reporting Scores**

Students should self-report their SAT or ACT test scores on their application. Scores may be entered in the Common Application under ***My Common Application > Testing > Tests Taken***. Self-reported scores are sufficient for application review.

#### **Adding or Reporting Scores After Submission**

If you did not self-report scores in your application, or if you have additional scores from exam dates that occur after submission, you may use the [Self-Reported Standardized Testing Form](https://engage.admissions.cornell.edu/register/?id=597f15e8-5dcf-48c6-8e24-c476a2aa4b4c) in your Applicant Portal. Once submitted, your applicant status portal will be updated.

#### **Official Score Reports**

Applicants who are admitted and choose to enroll must also request that official score reports be sent directly to Cornell University from the testing agency for all reported scores:

- SAT — use Cornell University’s institution code 2098
- ACT — use Cornell University’s institution code 2726

\
**Transfer applicants are not required to submit SAT or ACT scores.**\
