First-Year Application

Cornell accepts the Common Application (CA), which is submitted online through the Common Application website. As part of the application, you will complete all required fields, essays, and you may invite teachers and your counselor to submit letters of recommendation on your behalf. Once all required sections are finished, you can review a PDF of your answers, and the submission button will appear in the “Review and Submit Application” section under My Colleges > Cornell University.

Transfer Application

As part of the Transfer Common Application, you will complete all required fields, essays, and you will invite an academic instructor to submit a letter of recommendation on your behalf. Once all required fields are finished, you will be able to review a PDF of your responses. The submission button will then appear under the Submit Application tool in the top menu bar of the Common Application.

For information on how to submit other materials for your application, please visit Application Material Submission Instructions.
