### Overview

Julio is a Ph.D. student in Anthropology at Cornell University, specializing in Paraguayan archaeology and community engagement. Hailing from Paraguay, he earned his M.A. in Anthropology from Binghamton University. As an anthropological archaeologist, Julio investigates the formation and transformation of pre-Hispanic identities during the Guarani Expansions and the effects of colonialism, focusing on material culture. He has conducted fieldwork in diverse locations, including Alaska, South Dakota, California, and Paraguay. His work is dedicated to promoting an inclusive archaeology that collaborates with underrepresented communities and supports social and environmental justice in Paraguay.
