This page is for Oxford Brookes University staff. Its purpose is to explain internal processes to staff members. It was moved into its current location on the website in Autumn 2022.

Research funding opportunities can be identified in several ways:
- Research Pivot is our new funding database, provided by the same company that supplied Research Professional.
- UKRO Information Service - a searchable database of European funding opportunities, policy developments and funding news. Tailored emails can be set up. You must register on the website to access this function.
- The University's carbon-offsetting policy on travel relating to research grants is available at the following link under the heading 'Additional EMS and related documents'.
- Talk to experienced colleagues in related disciplines. They will have knowledge of the funders who are most likely to fund research in your discipline.
- Talk to your Faculty Research Manager and Research Grants Officer who have a wealth of knowledge about funding opportunities.
- Contact the Research Support Office - if you are looking for funding for a particular project or funding area we can help you identify possible sources.
