Programme description
The master’s programme ‘Computer and Applied Linguistics’ focuses on training multi-skilled experts in computer and applied linguistics, who are capable of working in the field of applied linguistics and modern linguistic technologies. Students master advanced computer-based methods of text processing and analysis or modern technologies of speech influence. They attend courses in machine translation and specialised databases in linguistic research or linguistic pragmatics and sociolinguistics. They also study one foreign language.

The educational trajectory ‘Computational Linguistics and Intellectual Technology’ is designed to train specialists in automated natural language processing for practical work in the field of computer-aided linguistic technologies.
The educational trajectory ‘Modern Technologies of Linguistic Manipulation’ is designed to train specialists in the field of: modern strategies of linguistic manipulation and speech influence; the theory of discourse; language policy; and pragmalinguistics.
