The programme is designed to train specialists in the field of contemporary cultural studies who have a deep understanding of the fundamental processes of digital society, who are highly skilled in the analysis of contemporary cultural phenomena, who are able to conduct independent research, and who offer their expertise at a high professional level.

- Aleksey Smirnov, Doctor of Science (Philosophy), expert in cultural studies, visual anthropology, social anthropology, urban studies, everyday culture, Soviet art, memory studies and the issues in cultural memory, theory of culture, and French structuralism and poststructuralism of the 20th century; author of more than 100 scholarly papers
- Valery Savchuk, Doctor of Science (Philosophy), Professor in the Department of Cultural Studies, Aesthetics and Philosophy of Culture; Head of the Centre for Media Philosophy at the Institute of Philosophy of St. Petersburg State University; Member of the International Association of Art Critics (AICA); author of scholarly works and theoretical and critical articles on fine art, art projects, and books
