Programme description

The bachelor’s programme "The History of Thailand" is aimed at developing in students a holistic and in-depth understanding of the political, economic, social, cultural, ethnic, demographic, confessional, linguistic and other features of the Kingdom of Thailand and the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. Students also study in depth Thai and Burmese.

The professional activity of graduates is focused on: the economy, political development, history, culture, religions, ethnography, languages and literature of Thailand and Myanmar; Russian, regional and international organisations involved in cooperation with Thailand and Myanmar and related teaching activities; studying the political, economic, social, cultural, ethnic, confessional, linguistic, mental and other features of Thailand and Myanmar; work related to the translation and scientific description of monuments of one of the most ancient systems of writing in various book depositories and museums throughout the world.
