Programme description

- The master's degree programme 'Theory and Practice of Translation (Asian and African Languages)' is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of contemporary approaches to translation and interpreting the languages of Asia and Africa
- The programme is designed to train qualified specialists in the field of both written and oral translation. It encompasses the acquisition of theoretical knowledge in translation studies and intercultural communication, alongside the development of practical skills across various forms of translation. Furthermore, in the course of their studies, students develop the capacity for independent critical analysis and editing of translated texts, in addition to mastering the skills required for translation quality assessment

Gorky Scientific Library of SPbU, that includes: over 300,000 academic, educational, literary, and periodical books in all languages of the regions studied at SPbU, a collection of ancient manuscripts and woodblock printed texts, rare and unique books and lithographs
