- The master's degree programme 'Physical Education and Sport' holds a unique position within the educational sector. The programme's foundation is built upon the principle of interdisciplinary study. The master's curriculum is designed to foster spiritual and moral values, develop intellectual and creative potential, establish conditions for enhancing motivation and interest in professional practice, and promote a profound appreciation for research, scientific project work, teaching, and coaching
- Graduates of the 'Physical Education and Sport' programme are equipped to proficiently organise and conduct the educational process in higher education institutions, train talented athletes, apply modern sports, teaching and information technologies in student instruction, mentoring, and health promotion, as well as advocate for healthy lifestyles and the values of physical culture among the general public
- The programme is designed to equip graduates with the competencies required for high-quality and effective academic and pedagogical work aimed at the physical and athletic development of students within the higher education system. It further prepares them for continuous professional growth, as well as for social and professional mobility within the fields of education, physical culture, and sports
- The educational programme has been developed in accordance with the current national federal educational standard, the St. Petersburg State University educational standard, relevant professional standards, and views of employers on the correlation of graduates' competencies and job functions in their professional activities
