Programme description
The programme is aimed at fundamental comprehensive and high-quality training of academic staff capable of carrying out research activities in the field of visual art, applied art and architecture.
The programme includes preparation for: the evaluation of works of art in their historical context; the analysis of theoretical issues of art history; and the use of the acquired knowledge in practice in research, expert, museum, and excursion activities. The aspirantura programme is designed to develop in students the ability to: critically analyse and evaluate modern scientific achievements; and generate new ideas in solving research and practical problems, including those in interdisciplinary areas. During the training, doctoral students master the skills to independently conduct research activities using modern research methods and information and communication technologies. Graduates of the programme are also ready for teaching activities in degree programmes of higher education.
