Programme description
- The master’s programme ‘Public Policy in Modern Russia’ is designed to provide students with in-depth knowledge and skills that make it possible to: be fully functional in the field of public policy; competently analyse political processes; participate in political and public campaigns; and efficiently cooperate with government agencies and civil society institutions
- The programme is aimed at applicants with bachelor’s and specialist’s degrees who have analytical skills and are capable of defining problems, and comparing and analysing events independently
- Work experience in government agencies/organisations, public associations, non-governmental organisations will be an additional advantage when studying in the master’s programme

The programme is unique in that it focuses on: training master’s students for expert, analytical and managerial activities in the interaction with public authorities; developing specific professional competencies in public administration, involving the abandonment of the traditional hierarchical management structure in favour of horizontal relations of collaboration, partnership and cooperation between state and citizens; and training a new public and state management
- Students with a focus on studying in doctoral programmes at leading Russian universities or PhD programmes at foreign universities receive appropriate training
