Programme description
- The bachelor's programme ‘Philosophy’ (with additional qualification 'Social studies teacher' / 'Further education teacher') trains experts in all main fields of philosophical knowledge: the History of Philosophy; Ontology and Epistemology; Social Philosophy and the Philosophy of History; Philosophical Anthropology; Aesthetics and the Philosophy of Culture; Ethics; and the Philosophy of Science and Technology
- The programme is aimed at developing in students a holistic understanding of philosophy and its place in present-day culture. The programme is unique in that it employs the teaching methods that enable students to master the fundamentals of a whole range of humanities disciplines. This makes it possible for graduates to be highly competitive in the labour market in such fields as education, science, art, management, communications, and cross-border cultural collaboration
- Graduates of the programme will be awarded three diplomas of St. Petersburg State University: a higher education diploma and a professional retraining diplomas 'Social studies teacher' / 'Further education teacher')

- A. Muravyov – Doctor of Philosophy, Professor, and leading specialist in German classical philosophy, Co-Chair of the St Petersburg Society for German Classical Philosophy and Head of the theoretical seminar 'The Unknown Hegel'

- A. Radeev – Doctor of Philosophy, Associate Professor, specialising in the history and theory of aesthetics, philosophy of art, philosophical analytics of sensibility, 20th-century philosophy, the philosophy of F. Nietzsche and G. Deleuze, analytics of contemporary art practices, and philosophy of cinema. He serves as Chair of the Russian Aesthetics Society (RAS), Executive Committee Member of the International Association for Aesthetics (IAA), Founder of the journal 'Terra Aestheticae', and Editorial Board Member for 'Terra Aestheticae', 'Espes', and 'Studia Culturae'
