Our advantages

This is the only master's programme in universities in the Russian Federation that trains high calibre international relations experts in the issues of the Western hemisphere countries.

International cooperation

Students have an opportunity to take part in academic mobility programmes in accordance with their research interests within the framework of St Petersburg University agreements with the world's leading research centres. Cooperation agreements on academic mobility programmes between St Petersburg University and foreign partner universities are available via the link.

Career opportunities

Graduates of the programme can work in state and international institutions, non-governmental organisations, commercial companies and enterprises whose activity is connected with the Western Hemisphere and international relations and contacts in general.

The activities of graduates can be associated with the collection and systematisation of information, expert assessments, and the writing of academic and popular science texts. Graduates can also carry out organisational, communicative, coordinating, managerial, academic and teaching activities.

The programme is internationally accredited by the Central Evaluation and Accreditation Agency Hannover (ZEvA), the Certificate dated 12 March 2018.
