I. Purpose and Scope

Purpose

These guidelines ensure the health and safety of food served at university events while streamlining the process for event organizers and the Office of Events Management and Food Services.

Scope

These guidelines apply to the use of outside catering vendors for food and beverages at university events other than on-campus providers with storefronts or physical locations. They cover food offered at no cost or sold at events. All AUC departments and student organizations hosting events or meetings with more than 20 attendees must seek approval from University Food Services when using external service providers. Student organization requests are managed through the Office of Student Life.
