About the Writing Center

The Mohamed Taymour Writing and Communication Center helps graduate and undergraduate students in all disciplines improve their writing skills and communication abilities. The center offers assistance to students at any stage in the writing process – whether brainstorming ideas for an essay, master’s thesis proposals, or any specific issues related to structure, language, citations or otherwise as well as providing feedback on presentations. We also assist faculty members in the effective use of writing components in their courses and offer tailored workshops upon request.

Operating Hours

Sunday - Thursday from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm in Al-Waleed P112 

Sunday - Thursday from 10:00 am - 6:30 pm in the AUC Library in the first-floor carrels.

Walk-in sessions are welcome!\

What We Do?

• Support students at any stage of the process
• Help students working in any discipline
• Provide constructive feedback and practical strategies to revise
• Respond to writing and presentations
• Confirm student attendance at sessions or workshops as requested
• Create specialized workshops for classes

What We Don't Do?

• Proofread or copy-edit
• Tell students what to think or write
• Evaluate an assignment for a grade
• Critique instructors’ methods or comments
• Ignore academic dishonesty
