The AI Spotlight: Advancing Research and Creative Horizons

An activity focused on exploring the use of AI tools in academic research. This initiative invites all full-time faculty members at AUC to share their experiences with AI technologies that have enhanced their scholarly work.
Activity Objectives
The central theme revolves around showcasing diverse AI tools used across disciplines. Each participating faculty member is expected to deliver a 5 - 8-minute presentation highlighting:
- A brief overview of the tool
- Its relevance and potential application within the faculty’s discipline and across disciplines
- Limitations and challenges
- Techniques for effective prompting and input tweaking
- Methods for evaluating the accuracy and usefulness of AI-generated outputs
- Why they believe they are making the most of their tool’s capabilities through their described interventions (pre-, prompt, and post-)
- Attendees will vote for the best three presentations

Awards
- First place prize: EGP 20,000
- Second place prize: EGP 15,000
- Third place prize: EGP 10,000
