Held from December 16-18, 2023 at AUC, the International Conference on Arabic Language and Linguistics, garnered international participation and featured key discussions. Distinguished keynote speakers from around the world enriched the conference with profound insights, contributing to a vibrant exchange of ideas and strategies in the field of Arabic language instruction.

More About the Conference

The conference held in celebration of Arabic World Day, brought together researchers, educators, scholars, instructors, practitioners, and graduate students from around the world to discuss issues pertaining to research, pedagogy, and practices of teaching Arabic to native and non-native speakers in primary and secondary schools or in higher education. The conference served as a platform for sharing research, experiences, insights and teaching tips as well as a testament to the University's commitment to linguistic education and the cultural heritage of the Arabic language.\

"It has been an enriching experience, bringing together experts and enthusiasts to explore the evolving landscape of teaching and learning Arabic," said Raghda El Essawi, associate professor, department of Applied Linguistics.

"This conference underscores our commitment to fostering excellence in linguistic education," said Iman A. Soliman, chair of the department of Arabic Language Instruction.
